So it’s day one after my baptism and nope, I feel no different. I didn’t get that new nose or more hair like pastor mentioned haha, but I guess a new bible is already awesome. It has flowers on it… I was looking at pink ones with flowers on Amazon earlier. How did Pastor DP know? =D Still, I’m sad it doesn’t fit into my pocket like it said on the box haha JK. Oh, I also tried pressing the flowers I got… we’ll see how that turns out.
Thank you KT and Shifu for coming! Though, shifu tried to break my hand… hmm.

What Up Summer Bunch? Tuesday, Jul 28 2009

Hey there! I’m so bored, housing is painting my walls right now as I write this. It’s quit unpleasant in the apartment with the painting since everywhere smells even with all the windows open. Plus, OMG they wore their shoes on my carpet. Ugh, I couldn’t help, but just to stare at their feet while they walked all over the apartment, all over the carpet, everywhere.
Other than that, I got off work early today. I have such an awful migraine for the past week and today I was all over the place around the lab. C.A. told me to go rest so I took up his advice. Woot. Hahaha, I still have to do some reading. Physical science time. Time to catch up with my reading because I’m so afraid of the evil sister haha. She’s coming back to stay with me for two weeks as a getaway type of thing after she finishes her internship this week. Hmm… who wants to come to Riverside at this time? Heh, crazy. I would rather stay home and enjoy nice home-cooked meals everyday, but then again, I have free AC that’s blasting every minute of the day. Decisions, decisions.
Hmm… lastly, I just wanted to blog about my social life. I have none! Hahaha. You know it’s a lonely summer when you spend most of your day in front of the computer and TV and book and playing games with Shifu. Sigh. Haha, not that I don’t enjoy his company since he reminds me of KT and I want to PWN him badly in game. Not happening yet, but soon soon…. xD
Anyways, I will be going out for Thai food with C.A. this week. Yay, spicy. We thought about Korean food, but the good restaurants are too far away, so Thai it is… haha. Also, I had a conversation with him last week and realize that it is apparently a very small world. He was talking about a biochem class and we had a discussion about passing and failing (I told this story to KT about bch120) so he brought up an example of one of his friend. Turns out, it is none other than you know who. Bleh. Whatever, C.A.’s cool to hang with unlike others.
To sum this up, I’m finally going to Six Flags with my family haha. xD I’m not particularly excited to go, but my parents are making me. It’s not cool when your mom calls you chicken.
Oh yeah, guys are weird. Why can’t I have a nice guy friend (girl-friend xD) like Shifu?

So there’s more than 2,000 crickets to dissect in the coming months. Another 1,200 that must be done within this month… Let’s say 2 hours for about 60 crickets? D= I feel like screaming.
Anyway, tomorrow is day one for one of the side projects. I am super excited xD, I spend the morning doing test runs and I think we are a-okay. Wooooooooooo wheeeeeeee yipppppppeeeeeee.

K.T. family, hair, school, shopping, summer, test 6:13 PM
I went shopping yesterday with my sister and her friend. Apparently she knows fashion stuff, or at least how to dress people, so yeah. I think overall cost was about $200… This includes a haircut. So yes. I have short hair again. All the highlights are gone… yay! 
So yeah. Look forward to that, I guess. Also, I have a test for speech tomorrow. And then my last speech is on Thursday. YESSSSSSSSS!! I can’t wait!

Taking a break from all science filled fun stuff, I started watching anime again. Total sigh. It took a couple of hours to pick out some series that I might think about following. Most of the anime now are pure crap, I couldn’t find much that were worth watching. What the hey is up with more ecchi like animes featuring little school girls? I feel so dirty to just come across those. So I’m watching Eden of the East, Mouryou no Hako, and Asura Cryin’… that’s all.
On another note, the evil sister is probably moving to Philadelphia soon for more schooling. Good news I guess, but I don’t want the evilness to leave me so soon and so very far away. D=

K.T. cheesecake factory, chick fil-a, costco, dieting, family, food, friends, kiddies, school, shopping, souplantation, summer 3:11 PM
So, I haven’t posted since June 24… About 2 weeks. I’m SO TIRED. Hahaha. Let’s see… Just to give a summary, what I’ve done since then:
-Mia’s birthday. Went well. It was hot outside, but we were in a shaded area of the zoo.
-Souplantation. Mmmm…
-School. Lots and lots. This is my last week of speech though, yay!
-Met with LeAnn, Jeska, and Diana. We went to Cheesecake. Totally went over calorie limit.
-Met with Erica. We went to Plums Cafe. Mm. Expensive deliciousness.
-Chick Fil-A days. There was free food. 
Also, their milkshakes are DIVINE. They reach the sky in deliciousness and in calories.
-Calorie counting. Yes. It’s been working out fine. I like to mini-binge every once in a while though.
My plans anytime soon? Get a Costco card. Then I can buy massive amounts of toilet paper for the first time ever. YESSSSS. Oh yeah. I’ve been spending money again. It’s not *as bad* though…. Actually, I’m not sure about that.
Whoops. I was away for a while just now. I had to clean up an accident………… yeah. Not by Mia though, by Conner. Hehe. When the carpet’s wet with water, you can see where I sprayed the Resolve. ^^;

Reading and learning… slowly, but surely. I’ve been reading different translations of the bible lately. I still find comfort in reading the King James version, familiarity is always good. NIV is a good translation too and I’m not quite a big fan of NLT even if it is the easiest read. I think I prefer the challenge of a nice literary read, like the bible isn’t challenging enough. Work work on biblical vocabulary!
Next up… buddhist sutras? I am still a long ways off to attempt that feat. Maybe more meditations are needed. Sigh… everytime I try to meditate, I nod off to sleep. Work is taxing….

Symposium Thursday, Jul 9 2009

I think our A.S. M. symposium was a success! haha. Although, there were quite a number people who just stopped by for lunch, but that’s okay~ we had a lot of food and leftovers and raffle gifts. Next year will definitely be better.
Around 9-12PM, we had four student presentations from PhD candidates. 12-1PM was lunch and more A.S.M. members came, thank you! =D Around 1-4:30 we had three professors come in to present their research from Loma Linda Medical, Cal San Bernardino and Cal Poly.
Super.
Plus, the computer the lab ordered for my research just came in today too! What a super great fantastic day. I can finally start working on this thing and stop whining. xD
